Why does it matter that an entire generation is hooked on pornography? It strips us of who we are as humans. It totally devalues us. The opposite of love is use - St. John Paul II made that very clear.

Pornography is the number 1 tool of the devil. Think about that!
What does it look like when you have decades of men and women who have been exposed to pornography? The use of another person for our own personal gain tears them down and tears us down. We have an entire population that is walking around wounded. They don't know what it is to love or be loved. The result is we have an increase in suicides, eating disorders, confusion about gender, and confusion about marriage.

But don't give up hope! St. John Paul II also said, "For we are not the sum of our failures and weaknesses. We are the sum of the Father's love for us."
